What We Stand For

 

Our mission is simple: To empower you to move freely and joyfully through life.

We believe each person has what it takes to confidently take charge of their health and their life. But sometimes, we need help along the way. We need inspiration. Community. Encouragement. Lots of laughter.

At Golden Lotus, we offer all these things and more. We provide guidance and support in our yoga classes and wellness workshops to help you feel awesome in your body and unlimited in your life. After all, the more happy, confident, healthy people in the world, the better!

We’re also blazing a trail to raise the bar in the yoga industry. We believe in instigating higher standards and better educating teachers so that yoga becomes a meaningful form of healthcare—one that results in healthier bodies and happier spirits. We may live in a small town, but we sure dream big

Our Location

Our studio is located upstairs at 802 Park Drive (Golden, BC), above Element Therapeutics. The main floor entrance is to Element Therapeutics. To get to the yoga studio, come up the stairs around the back of the building.

We began in 2006 as an intimate, home-based studio. In 2015, we moved into a larger space to support our growing community and expanded vision. This was a big change, but we’ve stayed true to our roots and kept our cozy, personal feel intact. Come visit us and see for yourself!

What We Know for Sure

 

You have time to take care of yourself. Everything you do is a choice. Prioritize yourself. Make time. It’s easier to fit it in than you think.

Improving your health is not all or nothing. Doing something is better than nothing. Baby steps not only count, they add up to big results.

About Our Team

 

Side by side, we do this together and we have fun.

Our highly trained team is passionate about helping you strengthen your body, calm your mind, and feed your soul through movement, breath, and finding joy in the moment.

We take the time to listen and ease into things, moving slow and steady when needed. We use a gentle, light-hearted, and humour-rich approach and laugh a lot along the way. Because our classes are small, our teachers can offer you one-on-one attention, assists, and adjustments that work best for your body.

Our teachers have diverse backgrounds and training in various holistic modalities, including energy healing, Reiki, kinesiology, massage therapy, and physiotherapy. We are a passionate bunch with years of experience and a whole lotta love for what we do.

Official Bio

Kristie is a physiotherapist, yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and holistic wellness expert specializing in pelvic health and pain science. She’s shaking up the yoga world by combining the best of Physio + Yoga + Yoga Therapy and setting higher standards for better-educated teachers. Her mission? Helping people heal, strengthen, and better understand their bodies in a whole new way so they can flourish in life.
